The main task in gathering evidence is taking pictures. What makes a picture even more useful is when you include in the picture any item of known size to help scale the pothole. No one can determine the size of the pothole just by just looking at the picture. However, if any object of known size is placed in the picture next to the pothole, we can pretty much determine, at least, the scale of our beloved pothole.
Some people use rulers, others use 1000LL bills. The following pictures illustrate the mentioned issue.

The Hideout
The key point of determining the exact place of the Jouwar is either to memorize it or write it on a small piece of paper (maybe with a small sketch of a map). Determining the exact location is very important especially when there are many potholes in the same area. Remember, on Jouwar.com, you can also add that exact location in an embedded Google Map.
In addition to the above aspects, providing a general description of the area would help understand the current state of the road (How wide the road is? Are the street lights operational? Are there any schools nearby? Etc)
